Supplies 4 Success
Since 1993, Supplies 4 Success has partnered with local school districts to ensure that underserved students across Ventura County start the school year with confidence and dignity. This signature program provides essential school supplies, hygiene kits, age-appropriate books, and a gift card for clothing to students in grades TK through 6.
Each year, Outreach Alliance of Ventura County® volunteers deliver thoughtfully prepared backpacks
filled with everything a child needs to feel prepared and included in their school community. In addition to annual distributions, students benefit from seasonal clothing drops throughout the year, helping families meet ongoing needs.
By working directly with school personnel in districts such as Briggs, Hueneme, Ocean View, Oxnard, Pleasant Valley, and Ventura Unified, Supplies 4 Success targets support where it’s needed most. Studies and heartfelt feedback show that having new supplies and clothing boosts student self-esteem, encourages positive social development, and promotes better attendance and academic performance.
Since its inception, the program has served over 37,828 children across 59 elementary schools, with a goal to grow that number by at least 10% each year.
Supplies 4 Success is entirely volunteer-driven, reflecting OAVC’s commitment to empowering young learners and strengthening families—one backpack, one book, and one smile at a time.
