Nancy R. Brandt (NRB)
Nancy R. Brandt was created in 1990 as an auxiliary of the organization, now known as Outreach Alliance of Ventura County®, so that professional women who were employed 20 hours or more a week could be members. This dedicated group of professional and retired professionals meet in the evenings to accommodate work schedules.
In 2001 Nancy R. Brandt established a program to provide the distribution of new clothing, educational books and personal items to victims of abuse. Known as Comfort Kits, this service is in partnership with Safe Harbor through the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. Victims of family violence, sexual assault, child abuse or elder abuse are provided with emergency assistance.
No longer an auxiliary, but now a committee of OAVC, this group of generous and engaged women also provide holiday gift baskets for local school children in need.
